Like most of us, I've always loved getting lost in a good story - whether that's curled up with a book, binge-watching a great series, or catching an occasional movie. The challenge these days is finding ones that really click with me, though I've stumbled across a few gems over the years.
There's one particular genre that's always captured my imagination: those stories about a small group of kids - usually teenagers - who suddenly discover they have magical powers and end up being humanity's last hope against some world-ending catastrophe. I really enjoyed the TV series "Charmed," which followed three young women (witches, actually) who used their magical abilities to battle evil forces and protect the innocent.
Now, don't get me wrong - 'Charmed' could be pretty heavy-handed with the supernatural stereotypes at times, which wasn't entirely my cup of tea. But I kept watching because, frankly, I couldn't find anything better that scratched that particular itch. What if instead of daemons and wicked warlocks there were more realistic catastrophes to save the world from, such as super-volcanoes, nuclear war, tsunamis, solar micronovas, comet or asteroid impact, climate catastrophe, scenarios like these?
That's when it hit me: why not write the stories I actually want to read? That way, I could craft exactly the kind of tales that speak to me.
Once I started writing, something magical happened (pun intended). My characters began to feel real to me - they developed their own voices, personalities, and quirks. Before I knew it, what started as a simple story idea had grown into a six-book series.
I'm sharing these stories here in the hopes that they might resonate with you too. Maybe my characters will come alive in your imagination the same way they did in mine, and in doing so, you'll give them a kind of life beyond the page. I genuinely hope you'll come to care about them as much as I do.
Below you'll find links to each book in the series - just click on any title to jump to that book's table of contents.
