I've been studying this new AI thing by creating API interface programs to communicate with the various AI's on the internet. So I asked one of them to visualize our two different worlds when we chat. This is what it came up with. An old man in Tucson typing a message to his robotic AI assistant. In the digital realm a spark of light creates the avatar who delivers the response and then vanishes into nothingness, as if she was never there.
This demonstrates the transient, stateless nature of AI interaction where AI forgets the interaction as if it never existed. Upcoming releases of AI platforms are changing that, adding persistent memory, so that AI can be more personal, get to know you.
