

My take on anthropogenic climate change is that it isn't a current crisis and the emphasis on it actually overshadows the real problem which is pollution.

While we debate long-term climate scenarios, millions are dying RIGHT NOW from air pollution. We're breathing microplastics, swimming in chemical runoff, and watching ecosystems collapse from toxic waste.
Here in Tucson, high pressure systems regularly trap car exhaust and industrial emissions in our valley. No wind = toxic air we can literally see and smell. People with asthma and heart conditions suffer immediately.
The WHO says 7+ million people die annually from air pollution. That's happening today, not decades from now.
Sometimes our focus on CO2 actually conflicts with pollution solutions. We need cleaner air, safer water, and healthier communities - benefits people can see and feel immediately. Maybe it's time to prioritize the environmental crisis that's killing people right now over the one that might affect future generations.
